II. Descriptions of This Service

1. Conference Type

This service can provide two types of conference based on actual needs, i.e. pre-scheduled conference (both the time of conference and conference resources can be pre-scheduled) and instant conference (Conference resources are immediately requested to hold a conference).

2. Service Application

A prepaid service user can dial the access number to acquire a conference card number and then receive a short message to acquire the conference card password, where the vCard mode is adopted.  A post-paid service user would have to assign a relevant person to apply for this service in the service hall, where the person must show his/her ID card and enter a certain mobile phone number into the conference card data. The conference fee will be charged per month.  

3. Pre-scheduled Conference Resource

The host (conference initiator) can access into the prescheduling system, enter the conference card number and password, preschedule the conference resource, and set the list and contact addresses of attendees, by one of the following three methods: A. dialing the access number, B. logging into the SMAP conference prescheduling interface, and C. logging into the WWW conference prescheduling interface.

4. Sending Conference Notification

This service provides two modes of notification: i.e. SMS notification and voice notification. The SMS notification refers to the case that the conference center will send short messages to attendees in accordance with the preset telephone numbers of these attendees, informing them that a conference will be held; voice notification refers to the practice that the conference center will actively call on the attendees in accordance with the preset telephone numbers of these attendees, and will play the conference notification to them.

5. Holding a Conference

For an instant conference, the host will dial up the access number to apply for the conference resource, while the conference center will notify the corresponding attendees to take part in the conference; by the time of a prescheduled conference, the conference center will notify the host, who will dial the access number and enter the conference room number and management password to hold a conference after the attendees are accessed. 

6. Attending a Conference

This service provides two modes of attendance in a conference: in the first mode, the user will actively dial up the access number, which is generally a universal access number set by the operator(s) for conference telephone services, and then enter the number and password of the conference room to which he or she is assigned to attend the conference; In the second mode, the conference center will actively call the attendees. Because the host will have set up the telephone numbers of attendees at the time of application for conference resource, the conference center will dial up these numbers either instantly or at a scheduled time, so that the attendees will be accessed into the conference.

7. User Identity

There are two kinds of identity for conference attendees: i.e. administrators and common attendees. With an administrator password, the administrator can hold/end a conference, set up the rights of attendees and search for conference information, while the common attendees can only own the conference room password by which to apply for a speech. 

8. Conference Management

The conference management functions include: pre-scheduling a conference/ canceling the pre-scheduled conference, setting/modifying the list of attendees, holding/ending a conference, searching for conference information and information of attendees, setting/modifying the rights of attendees and undertaking the conference recording and so on.  

Meanwhile, this service provides the function of conference information statistic as well.

This service provides three kinds of management interface for the conference administrator(s) : i.e. A. Dialing up the conference management process, B. fulfilling the management through the SMAP terminal, and C. fulfilling the management in the WWW mode.

9. Billing Principle

Billing for the conference telephone services shall involve: the pre-scheduling fee, conference fee and telephone call fee. 

10. Payment Options

Both the pre-scheduling fee and conference fee shall be deducted from the conference card. Should this conference card be a prepaid card, value of this card shall be topped up (recharged) via the service hall or BOSS, or by voice methods. In the event that this conference card stands for an actual mobile phone number of a certain group, namely a post-paid card, then the corresponding payment operations can be accomplished by way of the monthly charge payment for this mobile phone number, or by means of a GoTone payment card.    

For the telephone call charge of each user taking part in the conference, the corresponding operation will be carried out in accordance with the actual type of this user (e.g. prepaid service user, common GoTone service user or VPMN user).

11. Integration with the VPMN Service

The VPMN (Virtual Private Mobile Network) user can also apply for the conference telephone service, can use the short code within the group as the access number and can use the short code at the time of setting contact information of attendees. In billing, flexible charging rates can be offered in combination with the billing property of VPMN service, where the billing account can be also integrated with the VPMN account.

 

III. Service Realization

The provincial center will adopt the double network architecture to ensure the network safety, while either double servers or clustering will be adopted for key devices to protect the system reliability and prevent single point faults. The SAN structure will be adopted for the storage system to realize the separation of data storage from this service to break up the boundaries of independent data storage devices existing between the previous service systems so that the sharing of storage service can be achieved. 

Distributed Service and Centralized Control. The provincial center will take care of the service and data in the whole province, while live agent service will be set up at this center to provide the operator service. The provincial center will be mainly in charge of coordinating the interconnections between various regions and cities, and will thus be equipped with the functions of supervision, management, and data aggregation and statistics. This service can base on the calling of dial-in user to provide the localized self-service process service at the place of calling, while the interconnects circuits between the regional and city centers and provincial center can realize the sharing of live agent service and inter-access of data resources throughout the whole province.

The system can be logically separated into the bearer layer, core service layer, instrumentation layer and application layer, etc. 

The core service layer will be integrated with the billing, network management and authentication systems via the standard, open interfaces for collaborative work, and will provide interfaces for the 97 system, CRM system and online 114 service.
